Oh gods, I think I have got an idea for a sequel to The Harkness Supremacy - or, I should say, a handful of "Hm... that would be neat." type ideas, a situation I'd really like to throw at the characters and a notion of a setting. Downside: no Bourne. He was difficult enough to shoe-horn into the story the first time around and I'm no good at the sillyfic crossover tango, anyways. So I'd rather leave him out.

Ironically, I might strip the remnants of flesh off a long-abandoned played-straight 007 fanfic idea and a similar Torchwood outline to create the above. I'm not sure.

But I'm not doing this before I finish the Kaldor City thing. Srsly. The outline's done, I just need to finish writing the script itself and, oh yeah, fill in that one scene that is currently the blank-page equivalent of "And then a miracle occurs"

Hm.

I need a human to outsmart an alien in a business deal. A supposedly much-smarter alien because it has, y'know, a spaceship and stuff, so it must be smarter, right?

I'm thinking that mayhap the alien will make the mistake of projecting their own culture onto said human and be utterly unable to conceive of the notion that, oops, anathemas are not mutually held.

But damn, that sounds weak.

Of course, it could just be a very stupid alien. A very stupid alien who is unfamiliar with culture shock.

Yeah.

That would be easier.

Rumor - and I do mean rumor - hath it that the LAX Marriot is now completely sold out for the weekend of Gallifrey One.

If true: wow.

I'm not sure how I'm getting there, but I'm glad I've booked my room!
