Personally, I'm getting sick of all the "they stole that from Buffy" that seems to go around after every episode. I never watched Buffy, so I don't care whether they stole it from them or not. Plus, its not like the story lines were that orginal when Buffy was doing them.

Again, you make some marvelous points. I too thought the lack of subtlety from Gwen and Owen was annoying and somewhat juvenile. I'm not sure I'd find it so annoying though if Gwen wasn't in a relationship already. And on the point of Jack being heartless. He may be heartless but at least he's consistent with it. If he weren't then I think it would be a much bigger problem.

And I'm all for Jack/Ianto bondage no matter who is tied up, though Jack is a twist to the usual. Looking forward to reading the follow up and I say go with the naught, but then I'm like that.
