Blink.

Made of awesome.

Everything Love And Monsters could have been, but wasn't. That's not to say that L&M didn't have some good moments, but the last 15 minutes of it were just dire.

I particularly liked how the bad guy in this one was sufficiently creepy to engage the adults, without traumatizing the kiddies too much. It's kinda like clowns - everyone thinks clowns are creepy, really, but no-one admits it. The same for terribly gothic Victorian-esque statuary.

Gotta think about how this fits in with the themes of the season so far. Faith's all over the place, of course. But I'm a bit wired and worn out and damn it, can someone get the zombies off my lawn.

I think I might have to make shirts with The Angels Have The Phone Box - assuming no-one has beaten me to it. One big wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey thing is on my list of con-ribbons to consider.

I haven't seen the confidential yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

More when I'm more coherent which, at this rate, will be around August or so.

After scaring us when we watched it Saturday night, I took Toni to the airport to fly to a conference in Las Vegas, where her employer has put her up at The Venetian. She called me Sunday to tell me that, scattered about the recreated piazza outside the casino, there are actors made up as statues who move every so often!!!

Oh dear god, I'd be out of there and in the Motel 6 *so* fast...

And combined with all the zombie-blogging of late? Wow. Bad combo...

It didn't help that as I was sitting in a break area yesterday I saw one of them walking to his work area.

It's been a bit surreal. At least there was nothing resembling a statue in my room :-D
