Yeah, that would make sense and then, heck maybe the Master will be able to get in a dig or two about how it seems that the Doctor, unable to be with the Luv of His Life (or whatever), madly resents anyone else's happiness.

Because tell me that, even if the Master doesn't give a damn about Lucy at all, he'd jump on the chance to use her death as an opportunity to pour salt on various wounds...
