Wow.

I think forces are conspiring to send me to Chicago TARDIS, after all.

Hubby and I just talked and he says it's okay - really, really okay¹ - if I go away for a couple of days. In fact, he thought I've been planning to go all this time.

The cosplay panel needs a mod - a staffer posted on dw_cosplay asking around for one.

I found an airfare for under $400 - although my body wouldn't appreciate arriving at O'Hare at 4AM, body-time. (ow!!!)

I'm going to sleep on it, as I don't want to make any decisions in haste but, as of this instant, of course I want to go!

No, I would not be doing the crazy-assed Masquerade number borne of last night's martini-fumes. You know I can't sing!

¹ - as readers of my regular journal know, my husband has some health issues at the moment that make me a little twitchy about going out of town.

I just want to assure you that I am in no way as totally geeky in person as I was on the phone last night - I'm nervous around new people and have never been able to hold a phone conversation (this is why I communicate via email.) I'm really only about a 7 on the dweeb-scale, not the 2 I was last night. ;-)

CA has a factory job with weird hours so the window of acceptable calling times is in the evening - I'll call her tonight and email you before I go to bed. If you settle on anything in a meantime, be sure to post or email.

Heh, don't be embarassed. By your scale, I think I'm about a 15 when at/talking about conventions. Maybe a four, otherwise. ;)

The lovely supercheap fares of last night have, of course, evaporated, but the prices that are left are still within tolerances.

I've just talked to the husband, and I'm booking the flight right now. More details as things are finalized, so do keep me posted. ;)
