As I've Been Saying The Same Things...

...All over LJ today, I might as well post 'em here and be done with it.

In some photos, the TARDIS is looking a bit... bright.

The photos might just be badly color-balanced, which happens more often than you might think. (Ask me about the pink set-flats that photographed lemon-yellow, some time)

I have a theory about the TARDIS and why it's okay for it to look chromakey blue - because it's not *actually* a police box, but what the TARDIS-brain *thinks* a police box looks like.

This all ties in with my personal fanon that the interior of the TARDIS never moves - it being a pocket dimension and all. The TARDIS extrudes an interface (the police box) when and where it wants to be. All that tosh about 'travelling through the space-time vortex' is related to the difficulties of resolving said extrusion in a chosen time/place. Okay, so it doesn't hold up very well, but it's my fanon and I like it. Nyah.

On a much more mundane note, if the TARDIS really IS that bright, I can't help wondering if that close-to-chromakey color isn't going to cause HELL in post-production.

Tangent: HUGE pic of Karen and Matt.

Obsessive types, you can see the pattern on Matt's shirt, as well as the tweed. There seems to be some texture to those jeans, too - the twill seems a little heavier than I'd expected. If you look closely, it *almost* looks like a worn-down, fine-wale corduroy.

I've not much to say about Karen's costume, yet. I'd want to know more about the character, first. Leggings are certainly practical for hauling ass away from the baddies, but I'm not so sure about that skirt...

Also, I think there is a reason why its so bright, its a whole new TARDIS, actually a whole new old one, back with the St John's Ambulance sticker and a definite Hartnell/Cushing vibe...

I agree with the Hartnell/Cushing vibe.

I just hope it's not *quite* chromakey blue, though. Some photos are suggesting it's not actually that bright. Phew.
