In Passing...

I happened to catch the Confidential for Time Crash.

Seven minutes of pure fanboy goodness, all 'round. It's always nice to see the cast and crew (apparently) having as much fun making the show as us cheerful fannish types get from watching it. David Tennant's remark about how his eleven-year-old self would react to seeing the special ("He'd melt.") elicited a particularly noisy squee of delight, go figure.

It's been a bit of a high-squee day, what with my last minute prep for my trip and stuff. I should probably cut myself off from any more stimuli, but I think it's too late...

It was quite interesting to hear how they put Peter Davison's costume together - lots of borrowing from the exhibit at Blackpool, I noticed. And the prop celery later sold for something close to $11,000. Yow! One hopes the Beeb is giving the dosh to Children in Need.

Yeah, the melting remark got me, too.

Have a fabulous time this weekend. (I swear, it wouldn't feel like Chicago to me without a Whovian con over Thanksgiving. Lord, the number of times I had to point out to Anthony "no, I can't just pop over for the convention, sorry!")

I must admit, I kinda wish I had made up my mind to attend far enough in advance to convince a local pal or two to come along with me. I'll be seeing some sort-of familiar faces from Gallifrey One, I'm sure, and meeting some online-pals in the flesh for the first time, but there's nothing like a whole-hearted SQUEEfest with a good buddy, y'know?

That said, I'm still overexcited. I need a crazier-than-usual icon for this journal, I think. :)

Thank you for reminding me about this! It was exactly the sort of pick-up I needed this lunch break, and I'm still grinning foolishly at Tennant's sheer adorability.

I hope you have a marvelous time this weekend!

There was an awful lot of adorability going on, wasn't there?

I liked the remark about "We're just being fanboys today". As I said, it makes me feel good to see such a cheerful crew.

And Tennant's natural accent + the Doctor's costume = far more cuteness than I can reasonably accomodate at the moment. *foolish grin* (I hear he's worn the costume for his girlfriend at least once. So unsurprised. ;))

Oh, watching Rusty and the rest of the crew just grinning their fool heads off was wonderful. They're such fanboys, I know, but watching them bounce was just so great.

I love Tennant so very, very much. Confidentials always make me weak at the knees (I routinely swooned when he turned up unshaven in that part-unbuttoned black shirt, ask [livejournal.com profile] tamago), but this was a whole new level of squee.

And considering how they met, I am not at all surprised there's been a bit of "playing Doctor." I'm also not the tiniest bit jealous, nope, not me. o.O

Me, you and an entire generation of fangrrls are no doubt chewing on their livers about that. Yep. :)
