Warning: Will Exceed EU Levels of Cuteness!

Via [livejournal.com profile] thunderwill

An entire page of pix of John Barrowman and a cute dog.

Pure. Unadulterated. Squee.

Have your insulin ready.

You have to register with the site to get past the preview pix, but the previews suffice for squee purposes.

ETA: A news story about same. It seems that Barrowman adopted the puppy... :)

No wonder Barrowman is posing with the dog, they did name the Jack Russell Terrier, Captain Jack. 10 weeks a puppy cuteness with a gorgeous man. Yummy.

I know. It's impossible to imagine anything more rife with cuteness and still G-rated. :)

(I want to know if he adopted the dog! I remember that last year, he made a charity / awareness-raising appearance and some dog shelter and came home with one of the inmates, bless him...)

Wonderful pictures

Is it wrong that I call his puppy a Jack Rassilon Terrier?

*laughs*

Makes perfect sense to me!

It seems so, yes (http://icwales.icnetwork.co.uk/news/cardiff-news/2008/02/28/it-s-captain-jack-russell-91466-20535206/).

Bless his soft little heart. ;)

So sad when he lost his older doggy. :-(

If you want marginally larger (watermarked) versions of the pics, sign up for a login/password in the public purchasing area - I just searched and they have several of the doggy shots. When you log in, you get a pic that is ever-so-slightly larger.

I signed up yesterday and am awaiting a password. Assuming my yahoo mail didn't think it was spam, of course. *sigh*

Did you sign up for the shop, or for the full service? The shop let me in immediately (without even confirming the email I was sent.) The *service* would be AWESOME but I was scared off by their "professionals only" rule. If you get in as a professional, I'd be curious to know how easy (and expensive) it is to purchase 8x10s - I have several on my wish list.

[identity profile] fangrrl-squees.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 06:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahh, I signed up for full service.

I can lie like a rug when needed, and my faux media company name is pretty well scattered across the domain-owner information for several websites, so should they even bother to google it, they'll probably just think I'm a *very* dedicated fan. ;)

I didn't even look to see if they offered a service for hard copies - I thought it was just a digital rights service. If I get through the hoops for signing up, I'll take a look and let you know. I'll warn you, the last time I tried such a thing with Getty, it wasn't cheap (and Getty, bless them, have/had a specific service for selling prints to individuals for home use, running around $80/print, I think it was)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I can't afford prints within the official service - But I'd be curious to know if it could be done (without blowing one's cover.) Actually, if you get in - Maybe you would simply have access to larger preview shots that I'd hit you up for (John Castle, of course.) If you get in and are feeling generous, email me. ;-)

I may also trying to email them and see if they would shift over the pics I want to the public area - It may be that they are willing to do that if someone specifically requests it. I *used* to have the email of the purchasing guy and they would sell you anything you wanted if you just asked for it (and there weren't rights limitations) - Then they went all clamp-down. I'm glad I got the prints in my icon when I did! :-(

Edit: Here's the "shop": http://shop.rexfeatures.com/

Sign up (separate log in from the professional service) and you can purchase things that are there in 8x10 for around 9GBP - There are a few of the puppy shots there.

Damn, much better than Getty's service!

I don't need a pic of the puppies, meself, but I'll gladly rummage around to see what else they've got.

(then again, I should admit that the Getty pix I was getting quotes for were for some shots from WWII, which might have been a factor in the pricing...)

[identity profile] agentxpndble.livejournal.com 2008-02-29 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)
The price is good, but the selection is tortuously limited. Augh!

Still, it pays to run a search once in a while as they are continuously adding things as they build the service.

I'm so happy for him.
