Blakes 7 Audio Fun

Meanwhile...

Being broke and swearing off the pinching-of-content means I totally missed the release of this.

The mini series prior had its flaws (it quit just when I thought it was getting interesting) but I've enjoyed Colin Salmon as Avon and an Avon-Travis prequel sounds deeply nifty.

Anyone got a review to share?

And the follow-up looks fun, too. *shakes fist at the heavens*

*g* My mate Marc Platt has written one of those. Infact I think he said he was going in to record another one of them in a week or two.

Oh? I've rather enjoyed some of his other audio scripts (Spare Parts, Auld Mortality). Good to know!

I've never listened to any of them myself, so I can't offer any crit of his Blake seven work. :0

*grins* no worries. I can't afford to buy it right now, anyways (damn and blast!) but I am, as ever, curious. ;)

I have this one. i enjoyed hearing Micheal Keating as Vila in the last one but it did leave me REALLY confused as to whther this was supposed to be the Vila from the TV Blake or Keating doing the Vila from the new Audio continuity. Eye of the Machine was my fav - I liked the background on Avon's character - not the Anna grant storyline but it worked very well. Sure shortened up a long drive down to Culver City in rush hour traffic for me!
I just got word they extended this series to 5 releases instead of 3 before 'series 2's starts proper- though at this rate the rumored TV revival will happen before more 'current' audio Blake hits.
