G1 News

The 19th Symphony of Gallifrey One.

Sylvester McCoy will be making an appearance, as he's wont to do every couple of years. That should be fun!

Any idea when the room bloc opens up?

I'm going to contact 'em in a few days to confirm that our pre-reg wasn't eaten by the registration pixies as the staff there failed to fill me with confidence (and, oh bloody hell, I've long since lost my receipt...)

It wasn't even a 'receipt' as it was a slip of paper with a checkmark on the bottom for the dinner. It had no number value of the sort on it. (I get the distinct impression that their volunteer staff for registration was well-intentioned but ill-informed. I'm pretty certain they didn't lose anything.)

McCoy is an absolute doll, but I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. Shaun was suggesting a blockbuster guest who has never attended a Gallifrey before...

Hmmm... and now the debate begins: can I do *both* Gallifrey & CC26? In terms of cost, time off, & energy (esp. since I'm entering a masquerade at CC26). McCoy isn't a huge draw for me, but I'd like to finally go to G1, plus a friend from Washington is making noises about going too. Hmm....

As [livejournal.com profile] bovil mentioned, the con chair dropped some big hints at the close of the most recent con that he's trying to get A Rather Big Name Never Before Seen at Gallifrey for next year's run - but no promises, of course.
