EDA Note In Passing

I'm reading The Deadstone Memorial by Trevor Baxendale and, ohmigod, it's giving me the serious willies.

However, I also utterly loved pages 81 - 83 ("You should wave [at Alpha Centauri, from Earth], because I know for a fact that there's a six-armed person waving back!") and got all wibbly at pages 106-107.

I know you probably already know, but I heard on the radio today and there was a review in the local paper regarding Torchwood playing on BBC America soon.

Here's the fun bit, they described it as: "A cross between the X-Files, Men in Black and Monty Pythons Flying Circus".

Seen it, and squee'd about it (http://fangrrl-squees.livejournal.com/tag/reaction+post), long since. (although that tag includes my Doctor Who reaction posts, too, so it's all a bit jumbled up)

I don't plan to watch it on BBCA as it will inevitably be cut for running time and I'm sure those cuts will coincide with cuts-for-content (which they said they won't do, but I'm sure those cuts-for-ads will be suspiciously coincidental)

However, I'm going to set my DVR to record it, because the cable cos track viewing habits through DVRs and so they'll *think* I'm watching it and the ratings will be recorded accordingly. :)

That's a pretty apt description, tho'. :)
