I must admit to an ulterior motive in trying to cast from the fandom crowd: I won't have to make the costume, then.
I simply don't have the money to make a decent - or even half-assed replica of Eight.
A sort-of fallback would be to borrow someone's rig, if they would loan it out (big if!) but then I'm stuck trying to cast to someone roughly that person's size! D'oh!
