Just about to dash off to work, so I'll keep it short.

Immortal Beloved - I liked this one, although the progress of the story became pretty dam' obvious once 'the twist' had been revealed re: how the "gods" got that way. However, I like the fact that they left a rather broad hint that it could still all go pear-shaped as the TARDIS fades into the ether. Of the three stories aired so far, I'd put this one firmly in the middle. Sorry kids, but Horror of Glam Rock just didn't quite cut it, whereas I liked Immortal Beloved more than I thought I would, based on the trailer...

Sympathy for the Devil - one of the Doctor Who Unbound series, which I listened to more out of curiosity re: David Tennant's role in it (Colonel Brimmicombe-Wood) than anything else. However, it's a great story - my husband wondered how it could be anything else, with David Warner as the Doctor - and Mark Gatiss hit just the right note as the Master. There was the occasional sliiiiide into melodrama, and then he smugly reels it back in again. The shouting match 'twixt the two Time Lords is priceless. Listening to Tennant be all shouty and sarcastic (in his native accent, no less) was icing on the cake.

No reason for the icon choice, other than it makes me smile.

Y'know, I have a terrible weakness for sarcastic gits. It's a lifelong affliction and I have no idea why it took me so long to realize this...

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to finish listening to Loups-Garou.

Shut up, Owen. I'll think about that fic later. Maybe. If you're very good and promise to let the rest of the team horn in because, honestly, it can't be just about you.
