4,000 words later... I toss it out and start over.

Well, the basic premise is the same, but the second outline chased its tail so much that it was starting to look like Ouroboros.

And I'm still hoping for some divine-intervention-esque inspiration re: the pacing problem. Well, that's why I'm starting a third outline...
