Matters Whovian and Such
Sep. 4th, 2007 02:07 pmIs the Timewyrm series of the NA's worth reading? No, really, it's a serious question.
On a related note I just tried to tackle the NA No Future, only to realize that I'm missing a whack of context. Paul Cornell's doing his best to provide it without making it all overbearing, and yay for that, but I'm a bit confused and a confused reader is rarely a happy one. So I've put it down and started the Missing Adventure Goth Opera by the same author, which shows every sign of being good sillyfun (I mean that in the 'entertaining diversion' sense, not the 'Dave Stone on Jolt cola' sense)
I've been looking at fares for Gallifrey One. Looks like it'll be about $120 r/t with taxes and all. I'll take that over riding down with
iamradar and pals - not that I don't like those pals (far from it) but I get car-sick on long trips, I also get bored off my nut in any journey more than an hour's duration and, finally, I like whoosing around on jets. So there.
I'm definitely not going to Chicago TARDIS, as it turns out my father's family does want to do something for the holiday, after all. I'm a skosh disappointed, but I'll live. Family's more important.
And, on a non-Whovian (but still convention-related) note, I definitely will be at SiliCon. Radar and I will be hosting Pancho's Crosstime Cantina again. If any of y'all would like to help out behind the bar and/or checking IDs, that would be grand - although I can't give you much in return aside from a free drink-all-night token...
