Whilst cleaning up the computer room, I stumbled across a couple of BFAs that, for some damfool reason, I'd not ripped to iTunes: I.D./Frantic Calls, Frozen Time and Renaissance of the Daleks. 'tis like a belated Xmas present!

And I received The Girl Who Never Was and the two subscriber-bonus BFAs - Return to the Web Planet and Return of the Daleks - in the mail, yesterday.

That's a lot of listening material. I'll see y'all in a few days.

PS. Of course, I'll be listening to The Girl Who Never Was, first. ;)

...and I found yet more BFA fun lurking on my iPod that I'd apparently put on there and forgotten to make a playlist for, so I never actually listened to it.

*headdesk*

Sometimes, modern technology is a bit too much for me, it seems.

(So now I've got Exotron and Nocturne, too. I swear, I did listen to some BFAs this year, honest, I did. God knows, they cost enough - blasted exchange rate...)

Meanwhile, I've told my dad that if he could, y'know, see his way to taking the wife to Paris for Thanksgiving (although Michigan is more likely) that would be fine by me, as then I could go to Chicago with a clear conscience.

Thinking of conventions, I have to figure out what I'm going to do - if anything - regarding Redemption, in September. The original plan called for Alex and I to take our much-discussed trip to Blighty in late August, and I'd stay on for a few more days, to attend the con, but there's all sorts of what-ifs still out there regarding his health, availability of vacation time (and funds!) and whatnot. If I could transfer a membership, I'd gladly register now, just to save a few bucks, and hand it off to someone if I can't make the event, but I don't know if I can do that. I guess that's the first question to answer, along with the cost of the hotel and the likelihood of finding roomies. Alas, I don't have any family or friends within 50 miles of the place... *Thinks*

I really wouldn't even bother with Redemption - despite being a squee'ing B7 fan - given the ridiculous distance involved and the aforementioned exchange rate, but it's the 30th anniversary of the show and so the con's got an amazing guest list, and if the timing works with the potential trip with the husband, I'd regret not trying. *Thinkthinkthink*

I'd forgotten how much I love slightly-crazy/disassociated seventh Doctor. He's rife with fabulousness, in that way that sorta-broken characters are appealing to us occasionally-overwrought fangirls. (Trust me, that makes sense to that particular demographic. Both of us.)

Frozen Time is another Nicholas Briggs story that I've rather enjoyed. Methinks I need to pay more attention to the chap as a writer.

And, on another note entirely, the pre-Gallifrey squee has reached a new level. Hee!
