Nov. 26th, 2008 10:33 pmI'm going to try to get some sleep tonight, honestly I am.
I had a last-minute idea for a Risen Mitten prop, involving covering the failure with tinfoil. I got about halfway through the project - it was looking... well, a bit crap really, but probably okay under the ten-foot-rule - and then it occurred to me to wonder how it would look under the x-ray at security. So I've peeled the foil off, and tossed the remaining (rubber/plastic/cloth) glove into my carryon. I can always ask the hotel restaurant for a sheet of tinfoil...
I can't believe I almost forgot to pack any of my Big Finish stuff for the autograph sessions. I've thrown in the inserts from 100, The Condemned and Frozen Time as writers/cast members from all three will be present. I've also got about seven books in my bag, so that's the how do I entertain myself on the flight question sorted, as I've only read three of them, and I bought Pyramids of Mars from iTunes, to watch on the way. It's simultaneously pleasing and annoying that the Beeb is offering up several not-on-DVD-in-the-US titles on iTunes...
I've touched base with one of my fellow panelists for Roleplaying in the DW 'Verse and I think that one's going to work out fine. The other panels, I'm either ready for, or was planning to do off-the-cuff, anyways.
I have $170 to feed me for four days. That sounds like a lot until you take hotel prices into account. I'm going to be venturing into the mall next door at least once a day, for the food court will probably be my primary source of calories. Pray for me. Mental note: toss a few multivitamins in with the advil...
(no, I won't change out of costume for lunch. Why should I? ;))
Here's hoping that my badge ribbons are waiting for me at the hotel / arrive on Saturday morning - preferably the former. Heh. Heh. Heh.
