That and This
Jul. 17th, 2009 08:17 amSigned CDTL contract and put it in the mail - yay!
Have heard that BBCA will not be cutting Children of Earth for running time - yay! (If this turns out to be true and, yes, I'm a bit cynical, I'll have to make a point of dropping BBCA a thankyou note as such things should be encouraged)
The wheels fell off the outline for Opals Are Forever, about a third of the way through, but I'm not really surprised and I've a couple of ideas for a fix so that doesn't merit even a quiet boo!
I'm contemplating doing a complete number on my psyche and just watching the aforementioned CoE all in one sitting, once I'm settled from the house-move. As my curiosity got the best of me and I've read all the spoilers (good ol' Wikipedia) I'm uncertain if a marathon session is a good idea or a bad one. Actually, I'm sort-of hoping that I can drag Alex along with me in the show's wake as all reviews/comments suggest that this might finally be the Torchwood he'd enjoy watching. We have very few fandoms in common at this point and I'd like to fix that.
Was talking with a friend and realized that Chicago TARDIS (if I make it out there) will be my last masque opportunity for a while. I'm helping out at both SiliCon and Gallifrey One's masques, so that leaves a dry stretch until BayCon '09 and, honestly, I feel like I should only enter that event if I have a really BIG idea - curse the high caliber of the other participants, so that leaves me largely high and dry until SiliCon 2010 (assuming there is one). So, yeah, if I can manage Chicago - but can't afford to do Mercy Hartigan as I want to - I'll have to come up with something else, I think.
Tom Baker records five Doctor Who audio dramas for the BBC. Excellent! Amazon UK is accepting pre-orders. Amazon US isn't, but you can get an alert for when it's available. How did I not hear about this until just now?
