Torchwood: Ficlet (Follow-up to Torn)

fangrrl_squeesDrat! I just accidentally overwrote a long entry (on something non-Torchwood, I might add) with this entry. I hate that! Oh well, I can recall most of it from memory when I feel like typing it out again. In the meantime...
There were some calls for the "memo" mentioned at the end of Torn.
Ask and ye shall receive, my small but fervent audience of admirers. The idea changed a bit, but I wrote it down anyways...PG rated for language and implied naughtiness.

User Friendly
For a change, Owen was the first in the Hub that morning, and he blithely engaged in his usual morning routine – wander up to the Board Room to re-heat his morning coffee while the computer booted, take a look at the situation board by Tosh’s workstation – without a care in the world. Myfanwy wasn't eyeballing him like he was a snack - a marked improvement over the usual state of affairs - and, if he had judged the morning news correctly, no godawful threats loomed over Cardiff. A quiet day ahead...
Then he looked at his email, and a wave of horror washed over him.
“Oh… shit.” The declaration was no less fervent for having been whispered. Frantically, he scrolled through his inbox, trying to assess the situation.

Sounds like a hell of a plan to me. We’ll talk.

You filthy bastard, Owen. I didn’t know you had it in you. I love it – everything except #4 that is. You do know that’s rather difficult for a woman to do, especially if she’s short, right? Maybe if we used a box or something… But you can take it as a given I’ll be wearing lace all day tomorrow, as per orders.

PS. I’ve turned off the cameras down on the gun range and scheduled us for a meeting all afternoon, too. ;).

I’ve started a book on how long until Gwen beats the shit out of you. Give me a fiver and you can have your choice of 8:30 – 8:45 or 9:15 – 9:30. In the morning, of course.
