Well, I'll be jiggered.

Real world misery aside - and, yeah, there's a pretty bad outbreak going on over in the Supposedly I'm An Adult part of my life - I think praedestinatio has managed to source an - old school costume that I could conceivably get away with, particularly if I keep up with this walking-two-miles-a-day thing - thanks to my new job - and thus shuck a few of my flabbier pounds.

It's Mary Tamm's cheerfullly purple-on-purple and did we mention it's purple - but there's some aqua accents - rig from The Androids of Tara. If I can get down to 130lbs (a loss of about 15 lbs) in time for Gally, my cheekbones and chin will come out of hiding, thus helping things enormously, features-wise.

I like this idea, especially as a con like Gally is not short on Fourth Doctors to run around with.

As Chicago is, once again, in jeopardy, I'm not going to plan to make anything for it, although I don't suppose anyone's got 24,000 United frequent flier miles they'd like to give me? I think that's how many I'd need to make the booking for the flight... ;)

But, anyways, dreaming is free. Speaking of which, the valium's kicking in. Time for me to go to sleep.

well, in order to allow time to make the costume, i'd need to be in a decent enough shape by Xmas. Preferably by T'Giving, in fact. I'm a sloooow seamstress.

Sorry to hear Chicago's in jeopardy again-- Perhaps things will swing back towards non-jeopardy. I can only hope!

Well, things are quite lost yet, so keep your fingers crossed.

And yeah, I'm inclined to agree that the costume might be a good one for me - I'm usually riddled with doubt about such things, but the colors will suit me and once I lose a few pounds and get a better haircut, I can fake my way through the rest. ;)
