Although it's not yet certain if there will be any costuming/crafty panels, I've volunteered for 'em at CT. Bless
renn's little black heart - she volunteered me for 'em as soon as she saw on the blog that I'm making it to the con, before I even mentioned it to her. That's proactive!
I've also re-iterated my offer to do workmanship judging for the masquerade, if anyone wants it. By the look of the masq. page, they're intending to offer it so, for all I know, the director has someone set-up for the job already.
And no, I won't be entering the masquerade if I'm not needed as a judge. For a start, I don't have anything stage-worthy to present. The Androids of Tara rig is strictly for the hallways. Speaking of which - readers of my other blog, you know this already - I found some scrumptious cotton velveteen at the fabric store, yesterday. I tried very hard to resist it, but it was only $12/yard and just about the perfect shade, so I crumpled.
Since getting it home and looking at it under natural light, it's clear that I'm going to have to be a bit careful when I cut it, as the stuff has a definite nap to it, and I'm just the sort of stoopid costumer who will cut half her pieces one way and half of them the other. D'oh!
The buttons are going to be a pain, in more ways than one...
