One last word on Time Lord's and gender and sexuality.
I forget who wrote it, but someone out there on the internet said something along the lines of the following:
Aren't we rather making assumptions? For all we know, he (The Doctor) is laying eggs in his TARDIS.
The notion of an egg-laying Time Lord will make me giggle until the day I die.

Date: 2008-12-06 11:34 pm (UTC)Years ago, I read The Left Hand of Darkness (Ursula K. LeGuin). About a year ago, a philosophy prof mentioned it to me and I had to go buy a copy and re-read it...now with a much different perspective.
Have you read it? (I don't want to bore or spoil either way)
Because it strikes me that for Time Lords, perhaps - like the people on Winter - gender isn't necessarily fixed for life, especially when you're talking about multiple regenerations. Unlike the Winter planet inhabitants, maybe Time Lords can and DO choose?
I love your writing, and love this idea! May I vote for the Lucy as Master for Gallifrey '09?
