(The fact that a bunch of Doctor Who alums, including Verity Lambert, worked on the show is a draw, alone - but I can see why many folks point to the title character, above, as a probable source of inspiration for John Pertwee's performance shortly thereafter)

Oh yes. Radar and I have already thought that you'd look fab as the lead character. Put Radar in a blonde bob wig and some "mod" gear and that'd be the dollybird sidekick covered, too. :)

I've heard people point to Adam Adamant for the inspiration for Austin powers and beyond the basic premise I certainly don't see that in his character- Pertwee's Doctor though.. I can totally see that. Glad you managed to find some copies though- such a fun show- and such a shame so few exist!
