GIP And A Very Minor Update
Nov. 19th, 2007 10:56 amI've been re-reading The Salmon of Doubt which, for some inexplicable reason, completely failed to stick in my memory after the first reading. I can't imagine why, as it's a great collection. Sometimes, us fannish types get a wee bit fixated on the Hitchhikers' Guide series and forget, well, the rest of Douglas Adams' career.
(Admittedly, I wanted to entirely forget Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency the first time I read it, but it has since grown on me, and I'll cheerfully eat crow about that one, as needed.)
So TSoD is proving a rather nice re-acquaintance with Adams' work and, to a lesser degree, his life in general.
I know, it's not much of a post, but that's pretty much all I'm getting up to at the moment, unless you count re-listening to various BFAs as I'm pottering around the house - and I'm taking a break from the Great EDA Read-A-Thon, lest I burn out on the little devils...
