So... pending the working-out of technical issues and coming up with a frightfully witty name for the venture (because, of course, that's what really matters) would you, should you happen to be a female SF fan, be interested in contributing to a podcast about SF/F from the female POV.

I know, I know, "Female Fandom and Thoughts Therein" is an awfully broad topic, but I think that's the right place to start.

What I'm thinking is that we all kick around ideas for topics, ranging from 2 mins to 15, folks record their bits (with whatever tech help I can provide locally or remotely) and y'all let me worry about sorting the wheat from the chaff, editing it together and getting the dam' thing hosted and out onto the net.

Say, hrm, one show at least every quarter, but no more frequently than monthly - frequency depending on volume and quality of contributions.

Still all highly hypothetical, of course. I'm just curious as to interest from would-be contributors.

I'm always sort of hypothetically hesitant about these things, because my gender identity is so all over the place, but I live with the consequences of being female, so I suppose I get to have the commentary that goes with it.

Obviously, I've not had the best day for being lucid about anything but I will ponder.

If you're willing to contribute, I'd be utterly delighted if you did, 'cos you're so bloody smart and articulate.

But I quite understand if you don't want to.

Totally game, just really need to come up with a specific idea.

I'm female, but I'm a little vague on what you mean by fandom. I think by context you mean the culture of people who attend conventions and maybe participate in online discussions, with the core literature being SF & F. Is that right?

Yep!

(I'm using a fairly loose definition, yes)

This sounds like an interesting idea, and I'm not sure what or how much I'd have to contribute, but I'd be interested in giving it a go.

I would listen to this podcast!!

I would love to be part of it too...except I feel shy because I'm new to fandom. Err, well, I've always been a FAN but I'm late to the party that all this fun stuff is going on all around it! (Galley was my first convention ever, last year. Want more now.)
I wrote a paper about fanfiction and I'm interested in participatory online culture. And I am a kick-ass digital audio editor too...
