Dear Santa, please give Torchwood's second season a coherent theme, and a better grasp of continuity.

I think I've a better chance of getting that from Santa than I have of getting Jack Harkness wrapped up in ribbons. But, y'know, I'll take both, if they're on offer.

Meanwhile, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] lady_koori's influence, I DL'd a few Barrowman songs last night - including the entire soundtrack for The Producers, 'cos why not, I've been meaning to listen to it - and I dunno. I think I've gotten far too used to Barrowman-as-Harkness, as I keep imagining Captain Jack belting out Night and Day and such like.

Aw crap, there go the fic bunnies again.

Postscript: [livejournal.com profile] moviegrrl just unleashed another swarm of milling plotbunnies by casually mentioning that the Beeb still accepts unsolicited material - which surprises the hell out of me. The slush piles in Shepherd's Bush must be big enough to go skiing down... But still. This is NOT something I need, because I'm a sucktastic writer and, yet, a glutton for punishment. *headdesk*

(although I bet I've got a semi-decent Tenth Doctor idea in me somewhere. Better than "Fear Her", at the very least)

Glad to be of service. :)

And if they get through 2 series of Torchwood without Jack singing at least once, I'll be very surprised.

Captain Jack... singing showtunes...?

Oh god, my cup runneth over. I'd have no choice but to send RTD a thank-you bouquet or something.

Didn't I read somewhere that Jack and Tosh (blanking on her real name so using character names for both) starred together in a production of 'Miss Saigon' a few years back? Wrap your head around this one: Jack/Tosh duet complete with elaborate choreography! Wheee!

Yes. When Naoko Mori was cast in the London production of Miss Saigon, it was opposite John Barrowman. (http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/proginfo/tv/wk48/feature_torchwood.shtml)

I thought there were some semi-interesting ideas in "Fear Her", but they never went anywhere, nor did it feel like it brought all the story threads together. Alas.

It is, IMHO, the weakest episode of Season 2. *hears the Ann Droid in her head* Probably the weakest of both S1 and S2, even though I love Nina Sosanya.

I was going to have myself delivered to a young lady in nothing but ribbons one time, but you'd be surprised how many gift wrapping services turned down the job. ;)

I'm sure there's a place or two in the Castro that would happily wrap you up in ribbons, luv. ;)

You might be right about that, but I'm not sure delivery of the package would go correctly. ;)
