Font fiends, I have a request of y'all.
Take a look at this icon accompanying the post, and and give me your best guess as to the serif font that you see in bits and pieces before the Futura-ish (sans serif) complete title pops up. It's almost, but not quite Times New Roman, imho. But TNR is a bit heavier, I think, if that makes sense. Gods, I wish I spoke typographic, but trying to self-learn Welsh is bad enough...
I'm looking for a good ersatz of that serif font - or whatever was used on the walls of The Hub, that'll do. It's for a tee-shirt idea which I promise to share if I ever put it together. It's all
squeakydalek's idea. I'm just the graphics monkey. ;)

Date: 2007-01-05 01:33 pm (UTC)My friend (a font freak) and I went through the exercise of trying to identify it, and we came up with almost Perpetua (http://www.identifont.com/find?font=perpetua&q=Go).
In order to get the distinctive stencil-appearance of the Os, all the characters need a stroke to make their outlines thinner.
