Looking For Help With The Heavy Lifting...

All my Jack-muse energy has been elsewhere/working THS of late and I'm feeling bad for neglecting the journal - both this one and the rpg!Jack one, that is.

I've got an idea for an entry for jack_harkness_, cheerfully ripped off from a variety of sources, but not much material for it... Naturally, I'm soliciting for help as I jot down ideas. I think my problem is that the title, alone, makes me giggle so much that I lose concentration.

Things Jack Harkness Isn't Allowed To Do Aboard The TARDIS - along the lines of Things Skippy Isn't Allowed to Do In The Army/On Battlestar Galactica, etc.

I know one of them has got to be Offer to show everyone my 'Eye of Harmony' (and, looking at the icon, I might want to throw in Offer the Doctor and Rose a private 'gun lessons', even if that's out of continuity...

Particularly fantabulous ideas will earn an LJ-gift for your profile, as soon as I catch my breath, and all contributors get credit on the finished entry, of course. :)

PS, was it you who dubbed the incipient sillyfic "The Harkness Conspiracy"? Someone did, and it wasn't me, and I want to credit 'em with titling it when it's done (if ever. The first third just stood up and shouted "I'm all wrong! Fix me!")

No, I wasn't the one who dubbed it that, although I'd gladly take credit as its a great title.

I am starting to think that the world shall never get to enjoy what must be an absolutely hilarious sight. Bourne, Harkness and Bond! I'm still giggling over the idea.

I'll finish this fic if it kills me. Kills me, I say.

I just realized that my plotting for the first third was terrible - all talk and no action - and that I gave away the farm on a major plot point too early and thus too a chunk of Bond out at the knees, and not in a terribly exciting way. So I need to fix that, and punch up the outline for the final scene (which, I just realized, is a frakkin' snoozefest as outlined) and then the end will be in sight.

And an advantage of this mad scrambling rewrite: more hawt boy-on-boy action. Sheer coincidence, I swear. ;)

It's about 16,000 words right now, with, hrm, about 3,000 left to go. I'm on the home stretch but, like I said, I just realized my final scene is a bit dull, so I've got to let it percolate a bit.

In the meantime, I have a wonderful excuse for watching a bunch of silly films. It's a shame Casino Royale isn't out until Tuesday! (Oh, the vidcapping...)
