Alright, fanbois and grrls. I'll admit that I never gave the Seventh Doctor a fair chance. I think I've seen two stories (something about a circus, and the obligatory Dalek story - the latter was alright, at least) and listened to a couple of audios. That's hardly enough to make a final judgment call on.

Which stories should I make a point of looking up? Which are best avoided? Feel free to include all media, btw, but I'm mostly focused on audio and video at this point.

I've already got, er, The Curse of Fenric, Battlefield and Survival on the iPod, although I haven't gotten around to watching any of them, yet. What else should I cue up?

Meanwhile, the mad Saxon-related squeeing seems to be dying down, just in time for the upcoming episode *rolls eyes*. I think that, perhaps, accidentally leaving my iPod at work last night was a good thing, because it means I quit listening to an MP3 of that conversation for one damn minute...

Ghostlight is rather good, IMHO. Though many fans loathe it, I like The Happiness Patrol as well. Avoid Time and the Rani, Dragonfire, Paradise Towers and Delta and the Bannermen as if they'd give you a disease that makes you grow external genitalia, then have it all fall off before you can enjoy it.

Some of the Seventh Doc audios are rather good; The Harvest, Shadow of the Scourge,/i> (a fun tribute to, and parody of, the Virgin "New Adventures" line), Bang Bang A Boom, The Genocide Machine, The Fearmonger, Live 34 (exceptional, in my view), and Dust Breeding are all very enjoyable.

Definitely agree about Ghost Light. Wonderful performances all round and, well, Marc Platt write a damn good story there. As for the audios? Dammit, you took all the good ones! Dust Breeding. Geoffrey Beevers was great as the Master in that one.

On the book front: Lungbarrow. It's a bit continuity-heavy, mind, and though reunions of old characters always seem a bit lacking in my opinion, the various scenes with the Doctor's cousins were enjoyable enough.

Also The Left-Handed Hummingbird, one of Kate Orman's best.

I've read Lungbarrow (yay for the Beeb putting it online!) and, yeah, that was pretty excellent. :)

I've heard good things about Kate Orman. I'll put it on the list.
