Just watched the first episode of Hustle.

And, er, Marc Warren. OMG. Now I see why some fans considered Love and Monsters a bit of a letdown, in its way. Oh dear god, the man is strangely pretty.... As is most of the cast.

Yes, Hustle is wonderful: great plots and characters and loads of fun!

I think I'm in the minority about really liking Love and Monsters. It's silly, but:
1. It's got ELO. I like ELO. *flashbacks to my childhood in the 80s*
2. Some of the monologues are fantastic:

You know when you're a kid, they tell you it's all "Grow up. Get a job. Get married. Get a house. Have a kid." and that's it. Nah. The truth is, the world is so much stranger than that. It's so much darker. And so much madder. And so much better.

Yay for cheesy goodness!

Anyway, I have the DVD for Hustle Season 3. Do I need to start at Season 1?

Y'know, I liked L&M right up until the Absorbaloff revealed himself, and, in fact, even at that point it was still bearable, if a bit silly.

What completely ruined that eps for me was the last three minutes. Dreadful.

But until that point? You're right, the show had some great moments in it.
