The word for today is guh! The post is
spaceygal64's, but I had to share.
The glasses caused some major wibble, I might add.
Like the icon says... Srsly.
(the link is worksafe, but not dial-up friendly - lots of backstage photos of John Barrowman, post-panto-performance)
And now, I must go mop up the drool off my keyboard.

Date: 2007-01-12 06:59 pm (UTC)I'll have to find some pix to upload to the iPod 'cause damn, that's tasty.
(Shamefully enough, I already have a pic of Barrowman from "The Producers" and that picture of Jack and Ianto on said iPod. And the entire bloody episode of Captain Jack Harkness... ;))
PS - I'm still DLing that URL you sent me, but one of them (3 - 6) keeps stalling out for some reason. With luck, it'll complete today (I leave my DLing client running at home when I'm at work)

Date: 2007-01-12 07:11 pm (UTC)He is soooo gorgeous. Plus he's smart and funny, and I can't decide if that makes it better or worse. I've seen him on a couple of Brit interview shows courtesy of YouTube and he seems like he would be a hoot and an half to just sit and chat with.

Date: 2007-01-12 07:16 pm (UTC)Smart, funny, gorgeous and great slin too apparently...
Can I play with him please, can I can I can I?

Date: 2007-01-12 07:20 pm (UTC)I got the gist.
And yeah, he's *freakishly* good looking. And apparently gives great fan-service. And if you'll excuse me, I need to have a little lie-down, now...

That last sentence didn't help
I'm so getting

Date: 2007-01-12 07:34 pm (UTC)Still, misery loves company. My be-cysted ovary just gave a twinge in sympathy, if that helps you feel better. (that and I think it was reacting to all the estrogen those pix forcibly dumped into my system)
BTW, I tapped my hubby, the in-house expert on all things Air-Force shaped (uniform-wise, at least) and he told me with nary a doubt that what Jack's wearing is an RAF coat.
American volunteers - ie, chaps who stepped up before Pearl Harbor - would have worn RAF uniforms. So, that makes the search a bit easier at your end, although I fear that the coats will be hunted to extinction.
Apparently the USAF didn't introduce a greatcoat-style garment until after WWII...

And why we didn't think to ask him earlier I don't know.
*laughs*
At least it makes it much easier...
*happy dance*

Date: 2007-01-12 07:51 pm (UTC)eep!
There are cheaper ones (from the 70s) but they're crappy and if you're going to do it, better do it right...

Date: 2007-01-12 08:05 pm (UTC)I'm seriously eyeing it for myself, despite the fact I'd need six inches whacked off the bottom (but it would fit me in the chest. Moreover, I've a tall, slender galpal who's seriously thinking about cosplaying Jack.
But the shipping charges. And the exchange rate...
this yahoo hasn't uploaded a pic yet but he might be worth watching...

Date: 2007-01-12 08:20 pm (UTC)Sadly yes :( (although it would be fab on me even if I couldn't button it up!)
I'll keep an eye on the other one though :)

Date: 2007-01-12 08:30 pm (UTC)I don't know *where* I got this thing for militaria (I just realized I own four pieces that are all pre-1965 issue, from various branches) but it's certainly well-rooted...

The OP mentioned that the lipstick was her fault - she just had to plant one on him and one can't blame her at all, no?

Date: 2007-01-13 12:03 am (UTC)He's just too good-looking to be believed, that's what I was saying, and he looks so damned nice too.
BTW I wanna play B7 RPGs with Jack. Can I get other players in though? :-( I might do an e-mail but Red's posts about her to-do list frighten me.

Date: 2007-01-13 12:17 am (UTC)Or were you referring to needing *your* players to get a bit more into it.
If you like we can just kick it of over on your IC journal and go from there, rather than on the B7_rpg journal?
And I know, I know, poor Soolin is starving to death. I need to watch some eps and get re-inspired. :)

Date: 2007-01-13 12:28 am (UTC)However, 20 hours from now, (ie, about 12 noon, Pacific time) I've already carved out a couple of hours to do some RP with the tardis_tour folks, so I could be around for AU-ish!Jack in another window, for sure. :)
But I have to bail out around 26 hours from now (ie 6PM Pacific) as I have a friend's b-day dinner to go to.
